The Straight Lock Golf Stance

“The Only Golf Stance That Makes You Hit It Straight”

Straight Lock Golf StanceSpecial Offer for Simple Golf Customers

The Straight Lock Golf Stance is guaranteed to help golfers of all levels hit straighter shots. It’s so simple you can master it in less than an hour. We guarantee this will be the best money you’ve ever spent on your golf game.

Immediate Improvement

The Straight Lock Golf Stance was designed to immediately make your shots straighter. Most golfers will actually experience an increase in accuracy in the first 10 minutes. After 20 minutes most golfers feel very stable and confident with the new stance. If you don’t improve dramatically in the first half hour contact support and we’ll be happy to help.

Cures Pulls and Cures Slicing

The amazing golf stance completely stops your shots from going left (for right handed golfers). Since about 80% of all golfers have an outside-to-inside swing this is a really big deal. Slicing or pulling shots to the left will be a thing of the past.

The higher your handicap the bigger the immediate improvement you’ll see in your swing. It is much easier to learn and it is much easier to repeat than any other swing or stance. You will immediately become more consistent than you ever thought possible. Most importantly, the Straight Lock Golf Stance makes your golf game more fun! It’s definitely fun to hit your shots “straight down the middle”!

Why Is The Straight Lock Golf Stance Better Than Any Other Conventional Or Alternative Golf Stance?

In the Straight Lock Golf Stance you can NOT physically make most of the swing errors that are common in the conventional golf swings. The Straight Lock Stance is a “restrictive stance” by design. The “restrictive” part of the stance literally makes you do most things necessary in a good golf swing correctly.

The conventional full swing stance with its complex turning and weight shifting are fine for people who can afford to spend hours each day practicing. The rest of us need a golf swing that’s really good yet simple and easy to learn and that’s exactly what the Straight Lock Stance gives you.

Straightening the Front Leg vs. Keeping the Front Knee Bent

In the Straight Lock Golf Stance you keep your front leg bent well through impact. Many golfers including some pros do this now. However, the majority of golfers have been taught to snap their front knee straight right through impact. Most amateurs try to imitate that move. However, bio-mechanically that’s very stressful on the front knee. That snapping of the front knee caused the injury that knocked Tiger out of action for a whole year.

The fact is straightening the front leg through impact while getting the club face square requires really great timing. If your timing is “on” then it works well. However, any days your timing isn’t perfect the ball can easily be heading deep in the woods.  The Straight Lock Stance eliminates this “on one day” “off the next day” type of streaky playing. Now you’ll be “on every day”.

What Are The Benefits
Of The Straight Lock Golf Stance?

1. Your Accuracy and Consistency Will Immediately Improve

Because your lower body is much more stable you will see a dramatic improvement in your accuracy immediately. Since your stance now is more stable there will be less extraneous movement during your swing. The will result in a much higher percentage of solid, sweet spot shots.  The ball will actually go where you aim it!!

2. Stable Base With A Good Turn

The Straight Lock Golf Stance was designed to give you a very strong and stable base to hit from, keeping the lower body quiet yet allowing a good core (shoulders, chest & abdomen) turn with some hip turning also. Keeping the back leg straight effectively prevents the front hip from opening up through impact and causing pulls. The result is that this stance will eliminate any pulling or outside-to-inside swings on your shots.

3. Reduces Normal Swing Faults

The straight back leg position was designed to stop the outside-to-inside golf swing path that causes slices and pulls. An outside-to-inside golf swing path causes problems for most golfers. If you don’t think so go to the tee on any par three hole and you’ll see about 80% of the divots going well left of the hole.

The Straight Lock Golf Stance automatically prevents most major swing faults such as swaying or “reverse pivoting”.  There is less chance of swing errors with the Straight Lock Stance because it makes you to set up correctly, stabilizes you and then guides you squarely through impact.Keeping your front knee bent with your back leg straight reduces the number of variables (things that can go wrong) in the golf swing. There is no shifting of your weight or extraneous movements going on. The bottom line is that there are fewer things that you can screw up. One of the first things you should notice immediately is that a high percentage of your shots will be solid, dead center hits.

4.  No More Over Rotation Of Your Hips

The Straight Lock Stance by design limits the amount or hip rotation. Yes, we’ve been taught that lots of fast hip rotation is a good thing. Theoretically, it is a good thing however in practice it turns out to be bad thing. Too much hip rotation or poor timing of the hip rotation is the main cause of those shots you see landing in the next fair.

5.  More Distance Not Less

We initially thought the limited hip rotation and reduced leg action of the Straight Lock Stance might limit total distance slightly. However in real world testing it actually increased distance. That was completely unexpected.

We believe there were three main reasons the total distance increased.

1.    Golfer’s swings were more consistently on-plane resulting in straighter shots.
2.    Golfers felt more comfortable, more stable and more confident in the Straight Lock Stance
so they were able to really “go after the ball” much better.
3.    There was a much higher percentage of sweet spot hits with the Straight Lock Stance.

Those three factors accounted for a significant  total distance gain with most golfers.

6.  Much More Accuracy and Consistency

The Straight Lock Golf Stance is the most accurate and most consistent golf stance ever! The Straight Lock Stance forces you to make a “Simple Turn” that is a turn where the hinge or pivot point is your front hip. Your front hip stays almost stationary then during the swing the back hip moves back away from the ball. The motion is very much like a door opening with the hinge at the front hips

7.  A Very Stable Stance

Most golfers find the Straight Lock Golf Stance helps them feel “much more stable” and powerful at address. The Straight Lock Stance’s leg positions enable you to have a very stable base. Most people will have better distance and accuracy control with this stance because the increased stability will reduce swing errors, increase dead center sweet spot contact and boost their confidence in their swing.

I am a huge fan of the “Straight Lock Stance.” It is everything Joe Davidson claims it to be. The swing is repeatable and your shots should be longer and more accurate. If they are not, seek help, you are probably doing something wrong.

The restrictive ( in a good way) nature of the set-up prevents unwanted lower body movement , but still allows you to swing the club with a core turn in a very relaxed and confident manner. You will notice that your ball marks will be about the size of a quarter and centered in the middle of the clubface. What a confidence builder that is!

The “The Straight Lock Stance” is the best swing method I’ve ever used. Couple it with the “Straight Lock Grip” and your results will be far better than you ever imagined.

Are you now recommending the Straight Lock Stance in place of the previous Simple Golf stance? The 2 stances sound like oppposites?
Is the Straight Lock Grip somehting new?
Have you completely redesigned Simple Golf?
Do your videos show the old or the new swing?

Hi David,

The original Simple Swing is still valid. However there was one weakness with the posting into the straight front leg. Guys that were strong right side hitters (right handed golfers)would sometimes experience severe pulls.

Now they experienced this because of bad habits from previous swings. The traditional swing had taught them to strongly rotate their hips. Now, if they rotated their hip with the straight front leg they often pulled way left.

That was the fault of the golfer rather than Simple Swing but the result was trouble just the same. I tried to find a way to stop those golfers from pulling and the result is the 1 Hour Golf Swing

In the 1 Hour Golf Swing you are still posting into the front leg but we’re keeping the front knee bent and facing the target line now. This physical position prevents the hips and shoulders from opening up so outside-to-inside swings are pretty much eliminated.

I knew this 1 Hour Golf Swing would cause some confusion with Simple Swingers but it has tested so well I felt I had to still offer it to them.

A big benefit of the 1 Hour Golf Swing is that it forces the golfer to make a correct hip turn using the front hip as the hinge. It literally stops many swing faults that golfers routinely make. I do find the 1 Hour Golf Swing to still be very much like a baseball power hitters swing albeit with a bent front knee.

A new student can learn the 1 Hour Golf Swing in about a 1/4 of the time it took them with the Simple Swing PowerSet Stance. Plus, once the student learns the 1 Hour Golf Swing it is easier for them to remember and to set up correctly each time.

What I can say is that during testing the Simple Swingers learned the 1 Hour Golf Swing very quickly some in less than 10 minutes. Everyone was straighter and more consistent. Most were also longer which actually surprised me a bit. Everyone felt more confident with the 1 Hour Golf Swing.

Once I developed this new swing I was left with a hard choice. Unfortunately I knew I would cause some confusion if I offered them to Simple Swing customers. I could just started up a new company with the new swing and not offer this new things to Simple Swing at all. Would that be fairer? I didn’t think so. In the end I decided to offer the new swing to Simple Swingers at a very, very low price. The videos that are in the Ebook are videos of the 1 Hour Golf Swing.

I hope this answers your questions. If it doesn’t please feel free to ask again.

Hi Joe,
I am a Simple Swing customer having ordered videos and instructional material several years ago and have also taken a lesson from Mike in Orlando. Personally, I am not upset with your new discoveries. As with life, this great game of golf is always changing and evolving. Just one question, should I order the separate materials for the new grip and new stance? Or, should I order the 1 Hour Golf Swing materials from the other website that I found? Thanks for your time and consideration!

I am a little confused with the various ‘stances’ and ‘swings’ and what is included in the ’1 hour swing’ (the straight lock stance ?, the straight lock grip ? etc). I purchased the simple swing ebook, describing basically
1. The PowerThumb Grip 2. The PowerSet Stance 3. The Shoulder Plane Swing, and I have no complaints. However, I am a strong right hand side hitter and tend to pull a bit. So should I convert to the 1 hour swing that you seem to be advocationg for players like me. I am 72 years old and play off 16……….Alan

The 1 Hour Golf Swing is definitely better for strong right side hitters. It was designed to stop pulls and it really does a great job of preventing outside-to-inside swings and eliminating pulls. So yes I would strongly recommend it for you.
